Janice Stover

Associate Vice President of Academics and Secondary Partnerships

Janice Stover began her Cowley College career in 1991 as an assistant to the Endowment Association director when the capital campaign was launched to build the Brown Center. From 1997 to 2015, she served as Director of Academic Enrichment and Director of Continuing Education. She was promoted to AVP of Academics and Secondary Partnerships in 2016.

Stover provides support and oversight to academic operations within the college. Academic partnerships, dual enrollment, scheduling, program approvals, and assisting with oversight of Academic departments are some of her areas of responsibility.

Janice received the Excellence Award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development in May, 2000 and the Ben LeClair Staff Excellence award in 2014.

During her time at Cowley she has worked on many quality initiative teams and presented at a number of national conferences.

She holds a Masters of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Wichita State University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University, and an Associate of Arts degree from Colby Community College.

Her husband, Tad, is an insurance agent and owner of Samford-Stover Agency in Arkansas City. They have two adult daughters, Andrea and Stacia. Janice is blessed to be “Yaya” to four grandchildren.
