Cowley College Child Care participates in The Week of the Young Child

The Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the world's largest early childhood education association, with nearly 60,000 members and a network of 52 Affiliates.

The purpose of the Week of the Young Child is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.

To celebrate the Week of the Young Child, the Cowley College Child Care and Development Program partnered with the Ark City Public Library and USD 470 Literacy Grant to host a “Storytime with Tank” for toddlers. At this event, Cowley Students put together activities, including, a storytime, an Easter activity, and a Cowley Easter Egg Hunt. USD 470 Literacy Grant provided take-home books for each child.
