Machining students receive a visit from Galaxy Technologies

Individuals from Galaxy Technologies in Winfield, KS, recently visited students in Cowley College’s Machine & Tool Technology class to talk about machining careers at Galaxy post-graduation.

On-site to visit with the students in Daniel Brooks’ class were Stephanie Miller, Recruiting and Retention Coordinator, and Hannah Peroo, HR Business Partner. 

Galaxy Technologies offers a family environment in a corporate setting within a climate-controlled facility. The management team at Galaxy Technologies is also involved with the Cowley College Advisory Board to help develop the training programs to transfer into the workforce.

Cowley College’s Machine and Tool Technology program offers students the opportunity to learn computer numerical controlled programming of these machines for complex and sophisticated machining processes. Students will also learn quality control methods using the latest measuring and inspection instrumentation.
