Having lived in Arkansas City her entire life, Cowley College sophomore Kathrynne Giger lived out a dream Friday night as she heard her name called as Queen Alalah XC.

Thanks to a $50,000 JIIST (Jobs for Innovative Industry Skills Training) grant from the Kansas Department of Commerce, Cowley College was recently able to create a mobile technology trailer for “on-the-go” training to use for its Nondestructive Testing (NDT) program.
