Cowley College’s final Writers Corner for this academic year will be Wednesday, April 19, at 7 p.m. in the Nelson Student Center Jungle, and everyone is invited.

The Cowley College Trap Club recently applied for a grant from the NRA Foundation and was awarded ammunition and ear protection.

Being a third-generation Cowley College student, sophomore Lillie Dodge has immersed herself on the main campus in Arkansas City. The Liberal Arts major was recognized for her involvement and academic success by being named the April Student of the Month.

On Sunday, March 26, Alpha Gamma Upsilon, the Ark City chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, had its annual Induction Ceremony and All-Academic Team Celebration, officially welcoming sixteen new members to the nationally recognized honors organization.

The group of Kris Ripley, Abby Morris, Chris Absher, and Rama Peroo recently attended the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations Conference held March 30-April 1 in Orlando, FL. The group of Cowley College employees brought home awards and honors at the event held at the Rosen Center.

Cowley College director of mass communications, Meg Smith, recently took seven Media Club students to St. Louis, MO.

Showcasing their profession and equipment, Cowley College’s main campus in Arkansas City had 350 participants at another successful Health and Human Services Day event on Tuesday.

Cowley College’s Workforce and Community Education Department and the Wichita Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hosted Secretary of State Scott Schwab Tuesday night at Cowley’s Wichita Center.
