The amenities on the main campus are open to students and the public as Cowley College
strives to maintain its hometown roots.
Cowley College Bookstore is proud to serve the needs of the students, alumni, faculty,
staff, visitors and friends of Cowley College. Our primary mission as a retail establishment
is to provide products and services that promote academic achievement and a vibrant
campus. Whether you’re looking for course materials or Tiger Spirit Wear, the Cowley
Bookstore has you covered.
Students in the Cosmetology program at Cowley College operate a beauty salon on the
Arkansas City campus offering haircuts, texturizing, color, color erase, foil weave, highlights, braids,
bling strands, curl, flat iron, up-do style, perms and relaxers, waxing, arch/hair
removal, facials, makeup , lash and brow tint, shampoo, scalp treatment, nails, manicure,
murano spa pedicure, and sprees.
Located in the heart of the Jungle in the Nelson Student Center, the Tiger Deli is
a great place to grab a bite to eat. Good food and a great spot to hang out. Over
the summer, the Tiger Deli was repainted, received new booths, tables and chairs,
couches, and signage.
Boasting an almost 800 seat proscenium theatre, the Brown Center was completed in
the fall of 1995 and serves as a center piece for the arts in Cowley County and accommodates
over 10,000 patrons annually. Our recently upgraded sound system provides for excellent
sound reinforcement in our beautiful space. We are continually upgrading and updating
our theatre to remain competitive in our field.
Staying active helps in many ways, including keeping your immune system strong. The
Wellness Center features an aerobic circuit, cardiovascular machines, weight machines,
free-weight room, warm-up area, and locker rooms. Participants have the option of
paying a membership fee or enrolling in a physical conditioning or weight-training
course for college credit.
The library offers books, informational databases, newspapers, periodicals, journals
and more. Materials are also available through interlibrary loan. If you are a Kansas
resident or Kansas college student, you are eligible for the Kansas Library Card to
access information, research, and recreational e-books and audiobooks.
