Library Resources, Online Card Catalogs, and Library Databases
If you are an active Cowley student or employee and you need passwords/usernames for any of the following databases, you can find this information on Blackboard or feel free to contact the library. You must use the passwords provided by the library to access the databases off campus.

The on-line card catalog is a searchable database of all of the books in the Renn Memorial Library collection. The catalog may be searched by keyword, subject, author or title. To conduct a search you must type in the word(s) you are looking for and then click on the appropriate icon. The database will indicate what titles the library owns, and the status of each item (available, checked out, etc.)

If you are a current college student and you are looking for a particular book that our library does not own, we can probably borrow the book for you through an interlibrary loan. Please discuss this option with a librarian.

If you are a Kansas resident or Kansas college student and you are interested in a Kansas Library Card email our Library Staff with your request to get a card, include your full name (with middle initial) and date of birth.

What is the Kansas Library Card?

The Kansas Library Card is a tool for remote electronic access to high-quality information, research, and recreational (e-books and audiobooks) resources. These are resources beyond what our library provides.

What is my Kansas Library Card Password?

Your password is your date of birth in mmddyyyy format with no spaces or dashes.

What does the Kansas Library Card cost?

The card is a free service of the Kansas State Library.

When does a Kansas Library Card expire?

Each card will automatically expire in three years from the date it was issued.

How do I renew my Kansas Library Card?

Simply go to your nearest participating library or school with your proof of Kansas residency. Many participating libraries and media centers display the Kansas Library Card logo. The staff will renew your account.
