Cowley College Names Dacey Morris February 2026 Student of the Month

Dacey Morris

Cowley College is proud to announce Dacey Morris as the February Student of the Month.

Morris, a 20-year-old General STEM major from Weatherford, Oklahoma, currently holds a perfect 4.0 GPA while balancing academics, athletics, campus involvement, and community service.

A graduate of Weatherford High School, Morris said she chose Cowley after experiencing the campus firsthand.

“When I came on a visit, I could tell how family- and community-oriented it was,” Morris shared. “I loved the idea of having a close-knit support system even though I’m far away from home.”

On campus, Morris works as a peer tutor in the Tiger Learning Center, helping fellow students succeed academically. In addition, she serves as a Student Ambassador, competes as a member of the Cowley softball team, and participates in Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Her passion for service extends beyond campus. Morris is currently gaining service-learning experience by volunteering at Manna Ministries and assisting with MomCo babysitting in Arkansas City.

Morris credits much of her drive and work ethic to her parents, Rick and Deb Morris, both educators in Weatherford. Her father is a math teacher and head softball coach at Weatherford High School, while her mother teaches math at Weatherford Middle School and serves in multiple faculty leadership roles. She also has an older brother, Paden, who is 30 years old.

“Both of my parents are incredibly driven and hardworking, and they’ve inspired me to be the same,” she said.

After graduating from Cowley, Morris plans to transfer to Oklahoma Baptist University to attend nursing school while continuing her softball career.

Being named Student of the Month is an honor she does not take lightly.

“It is such an honor,” Morris said. “I look up to so many staff and faculty members at Cowley, so I am very grateful to be nominated and selected by them.”

Cowley College congratulates Dacey Morris on this well-deserved recognition and looks forward to her continued success both on and off the field.
