On the way to the national tournament

Qualifying for the national tournament for the third time in the past five seasons, the Cowley College men’s basketball team loaded up the bus on Friday morning and headed to Hutchinson in anticipation of its first-round game against Allegany College of Maryland.

The Tigers (27-5) earned the ninth seed in the tourney, while the Trojans (26-7) are the 24^th and final seed. The winner of Sunday’s game will advance to face eighth-seeded Northwest Florida State (28-5) on Monday at 5 p.m. at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
