Cowley College Names Grace Knight April 2026 Student of the Month

Cowley College is proud to recognize Grace Knight as the April Student of the Month for her academic achievement, leadership, and service.

A 20-year-old pre-pharmacy major from Decatur, Texas, Grace balances her studies with roles as a peer tutor and resident assistant, supporting students both academically and within campus housing.

She chose Cowley after being recruited for track and field and for its affordability and strong pre-pharmacy pathway. 

“Arkansas City reminded me of home in the sense of community,” Grace shared. “That played a big role in my decision.”

A graduate of Decatur High School, Grace is deeply involved on campus. She competes in track and field and participates in student ambassador activities, the IMPACT program, Phi Theta Kappa (serving as an officer), Turning Point USA, Math and Science Club, FCA worship band, and HOPE Squad.

Grace also gives back to the community, volunteering at Wilson Park’s garden and helping with middle school track meets in Arkansas City.

She credits her parents, Mark and Rachel Knight, for shaping her work ethic and faith, and shares a close bond with her younger sister, Faith.

“They have always taught me to put my best effort into everything I do and to put my faith and trust in God,” she said.

After graduating, Grace plans to attend the University of Texas at Tyler to pursue her Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

Being named Student of the Month is something Grace considers a true honor.

“I owe a huge thank you to God, the community here at Cowley College, and all of Arkansas City for this award,” she said. “This community has become a new family to me and a place I can proudly call my home away from home.”

As she prepares to graduate, Grace reflects on her time at Cowley with gratitude.

“I’ve had an amazing two years filled with memories and some of the best friendships I’ve ever had,” she said. “I know this graduation is definitely going to be an emotional one.”

Cowley College congratulates Grace Knight on this well-deserved recognition and looks forward to all she will accomplish in the future.
