12 Tiger athletic programs earn Academic Team Awards

The most successful NJCAA programs in the classroom this year were recently recognized with the announcement of the 2022-23 NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year. Cowley College had 12 athletic programs earn recognition by assembling a 3.0 grade point average or higher.

The Lady Tigers tennis team led the way with a 3.64-grade point average, while women’s and men’s soccer teams had GPAs of 3.55 and 3.54, respectively.

Volleyball was just behind, with a GPA of 3.53, while women’s basketball had a GPA of 3.49.

The Cowley men’s soccer team (3.33), softball (3.23), men’s basketball (3.13), men’s indoor track and field (3.12), men’s outdoor track and field (3.12), women’s cross country (3.10), and baseball (3.07) also received NJCAA Academic Team Awards.
