Grand Opening of the Tyler Technical Education Center set for August 16th

The Tyler Technical Education Center

On August 16, 2024, a celebration of hard work and generosity will unfold at the Grand Opening of the Tyler Technical Education Center. An event open to the public which we invite the community to attend.

The doors of the new facility will open at 3 p.m. Dr. Schoon, President of Cowley College, and Dr. Kori Gregg, President and CEO of the Cowley College Foundation, will welcome guests and provide an overview of the project and its intended impact on the community.

The College and the Foundation will come together to dedicate a time capsule, honoring and preserving the legacy of the Cowley College Centennial, before the highly anticipated ribbon-cutting of the new building. This moment will mark the official opening of the Tyler Technical Education Center. Guests can then explore the new facility and see the cutting-edge technology and innovative learning spaces of the new facility for the first time.

Throughout the festivities, Cowley College will celebrate Robert and Gwen Tyler’s monumental $2,000,000 gift with heartfelt appreciation. Their leadership gift was instrumental in making the vision of the Tyler Technical Education Center a reality, alongside the $4 million ARPA grant from the State of Kansas, which was another crucial element of the project’s success.
