Cowley College at the Fair
Cowley College athletic director Jeff Fluty, pictured on the right, joined 95.9 Bob FM and Shane Farley for an interview Saturday evening during the Cowley County Fair held in Winfield, KS.
Fluty discussed Tiger sports accomplishments from the last year, introduced new coaches on staff, and talked about the upcoming Tiger Booster Club Blitz Drive on August 8th and the Tiger Skins Golf Tournament on August 19th.
Along with Fluty, Dr. Michelle Schoon, president of Cowley College, joined Bob FM to discuss the CTE Trailer new to the fair this year and the new CTE-building initiative. Dr. Schoon also visited about what programs the Adult Education Department Offers while spotlighting the A-OK opportunity.
Kristi Shaw, executive director of student services at Cowley College, talked about the New Student Orientation Theme – Pure Tiger Energy. She also visited about the new Student Life Counselor and Wellness Partnership the College has.
Greg Butler, Cowley College Workforce & Career Specialist, rounded out those visiting with Bob FM. Butler talked about the Workforce Center, which is open to the public. Butler also spotlighted the workforce services Cowley College offers to the county while mentioning the services provided by the Workforce and Community Education Center.
There is still time to enroll for the 2023-2024 school year, which begins August 15 at Cowley College.
