Students move in during the Dorm Storm event

Preparing for the start of the fall semester, Cowley College students began moving into the dorms on Saturday during the school’s annual Dorm Storm event.

According to Lynlea Bartlett, director of student housing, the dorms are near capacity but are still accepting students.

Upcoming student life events include:

• On Tuesday, August 15, famed mentalist Tom Kennedy will bring his unique brand of mind-reading to Cowley College for a 7 p.m. performance in the Robert Brown Theatre.
• Also, on Tuesday, August 15, the Tiger women’s and men’s soccer teams will host scrimmages vs. Southwestern College at 4 and 7 p.m.
• A Welcome Back Bash will occur Wednesday, August 17, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Calder Bonfy Amphitheatre.
• A Back to School Dance will be held Thursday, August 17, from 9 p.m. to midnight in the Earle N. Wright Community Room.

Capping the week of festivities on Friday, August 18, Cowley students can show their ID at the Cowley Cinema 8 and watch a free late-night movie at midnight.
