Cowley College Choir to Perform at Carnegie Hall

placeholder

The Cowley College Choir has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City in May 2027 under the direction of guest conductor Dr. Brad Vogel, in partnership with MidAmerica Productions. Through its programs, MidAmerica Productions provides performers with opportunities to take the stage in major performance settings, making this an exciting opportunity for Cowley students to showcase their talents at one of the world’s most renowned concert venues.

In preparation for the performance, choir students will spend the coming months rehearsing while also raising funds to help make the trip possible. Several fundraisers are planned throughout the year, giving community members multiple opportunities to support the students as they work toward this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The first fundraiser is already underway, with the choir’s T-shirt sale running through Sept. 25. Community members can purchase a shirt, show their support and help the students take another step toward their journey to New York City. To purchase a T-shirt, email choir@cowley.edu.

Later in the school year, other fundraising opportunities will include an Ark City Greenhouse poinsettia fundraiser, Pizza Ranch Community Night, a raffle, and a taco and salsa fundraiser in the spring

In addition to performing at Carnegie Hall, the trip will give students the opportunity to experience New York City and its vibrant performing arts community. Plans include attending a Broadway production, sightseeing and connecting with other student performers.

For the Cowley College Choir, the trip represents much more than a performance. It is an opportunity for students to perform on an internationally recognized stage, experience New York City's rich arts and culture, and create memories that will last well beyond their time at Cowley College.

More information about upcoming choir fundraisers, including opportunities to support the students’ journey to Carnegie Hall, will be shared throughout the year.
