ACES 2026 Pulled Pork Dinner to Support Local Families

Pulled Pork Dinner

A plate of pulled pork can do more than fill a hungry stomach. On Wednesday, October 14, Cowley College ACES (Academic Civic Engagement through Service) will bring the community together for its annual Pulled Pork Dinner, with proceeds helping provide food to local families.

The $15 meal includes pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw, bread, and cake. Meals will be packaged and ready to go, making it easy for community members to enjoy lunch while supporting a service project that reaches beyond the Cowley College campus.

The dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Wright Room, with both sit-down and carry-out options available. An additional carry-out opportunity will be offered from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the north door of the Brown Center.

Funds raised will support an ACES food packaging event, where food will be prepared to help local families. The project reflects the organization's commitment to giving Cowley students opportunities to serve their communities in meaningful ways.

The dinner is made possible with help from Jay Warren, The Optimist Club of Arkansas City, Central Christian Church Ladies, and Fresh Ideas.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the door. Those who would like to purchase tickets in advance can contact Greg Butler or Katie Ryberg.
