Cowley Theatre to perform the Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein

With Halloween approaching, plan to attend the Cowley College Theatre Department’s electrifying production of the Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein inside the Robert Brown Theatre on October 13-15. 

The cast and crew have brewed their own special scientific formula for the screen sensation. The production is rated PG-13 for adult humor and situations. 

A synopsis of the show: The grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein, inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. 

With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick and a leggy lab assistant, Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist's shoes of his ancestors. “It’s alive!” he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather’s. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes, and hilarity continuously abounds. 

Young Frankenstein will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on October 13-14 and at 2 p.m. on October 15.
