Aleeyah Winegarner

Aleeyah Winegarner is a 19-year-old from Arkansas City, Kansas, currently studying Athletic Training at Cowley College, where she maintains a GPA of 3.34. Raised in a supportive family, she is the daughter of Kayla and Chet Ranzau and Joe and Pam Winegarner. Her mother, Kayla, works as a medical lab technician in Maryville, MO, and has been a significant influence on Aleeyah’s life, serving as both a parent and a best friend. Her stepdad, Chet, recently took on the role of Fire Marshal in McPherson, KS, while her dad, Joe, is a welder at Textron Aviation. After graduating from Arkansas City High School, Aleeyah transferred to Cowley College to pursue her interest in Athletic Training. Being in her hometown has helped her stay connected to her roots while following her career aspirations. At Cowley, she works in the Athletic Training room, fulfilling her scholarship requirements with over 20 hours of work each week.

Active on campus, Aleeyah serves as a Student Ambassador and Vice President of the Student Senate. In addition, she is a student athletic trainer, where she gains hands-on experience in her field while fostering leadership skills. Looking ahead, she plans to transfer to Kansas State University to pursue a master’s degree in Athletic Training, eager to expand her knowledge and skills to make a meaningful impact in the field.

Aleeyah has a deep connection to her community, especially with the annual Arkalalah festival, a cherished tradition in Arkansas City. Having participated as a Little Miss in her childhood, she looks forward to experiencing the event in a new light as a young adult, celebrating her roots and community spirit. Aleeyah Winegarner is on track to achieve a successful athletic training career with her dedication to her studies, leadership role, and commitment to her education.
