Original works presented at Writers Corner event

Creative Claws, Cowley College’s writing club, hosted the first Writers Corner of the year in the Nelson Student Center to a full house on Thursday, October 19. Eleven Cowley students and three Humanities & Communication faculty members presented their original works, including poetry and short stories.

“We had a wonderful evening listening to passionate writers,” Humanities and Communications instructor Abigail Green said. “The works varied from deeply emotional to hilarious and everywhere in-between. It was especially fun to meet writers from the Mulvane Campus and from online classes who also shared their works with us.”

Students of the Creative Writing and Mass Communication programs are excited to invite the community back for the student showcase on Thursday, December 7 from 6-8 p.m. in the Life Through Word and Lens gallery hallways in the Brown Center and Earle N. Wright Community Room.
