Cowley President Michelle Schoon’s Listening Tour

On October 16, 2024, the Cowley College community came together for an engaging Listening Tour led by President Dr. Michelle Schoon. The event offered a platform for open dialogue, allowing participants to voice their thoughts, concerns, and ideas about the College.

The day began at 9:00 AM in the President's Dining Room. Dr. Schoon provided updates on recent initiatives and encouraged feedback. The 11:00 AM session at the Mulvane SEA Center saw participants raising questions about future academic programs and campus facilities. The 1:00 PM session at the Short General Education Center centered on conversations around Sumner Campus growth. The final 3:00 PM session via Zoom welcomed virtual participants, allowing those unable to attend in person to join the conversation and ask questions. 

Dr. Schoon emphasized the importance of community feedback in shaping the College's future. Many participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage directly with leadership, and several actionable ideas emerged, particularly around enhancing student engagement and support services.
