Cowley College Receives Grant from the V.J. Wilkins Foundation to Launch New Community Youth Choir

Cowley College is thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of the Cowley Youth Choir (CYC), made possible through a generous grant from the V.J. Wilkins Foundation. This new community initiative will provide students in grades 3 through 7 across Cowley County and surrounding communities the opportunity to explore vocal music, grow their musical talents, and engage in enriching performance experiences.
The Cowley Youth Choir will be open to all interested young singers, regardless of school affiliation, creating a welcoming and inclusive space for music education and community connection. Rehearsals and performances will be held on the Cowley College campus, offering young students the chance to experience collegiate-level arts programming in a supportive and inspiring environment.
“We are incredibly grateful to the V.J. Wilkins Foundation for their continued investment in the arts and youth programming in our region,” said Cowley College Theater Director, Nick Albrecht. “Their partnership allows us to expand artistic opportunities for young people and foster a love of music at an early age.”
More details regarding auditions, rehearsal schedules, and registration will be announced soon.
Cowley College extends its heartfelt appreciation to the V.J. Wilkins Foundation for helping bring this vision to life and for supporting arts access for youth in our community.
