Medical Coding
CODE. CARE. COMMUNICATION.
Medical Coders are trained to use CPT, HCPCS, and ICD 9/10 codes, which are coding systems that help organize medical diagnoses and procedures for insurance companies. Upon completing the program, you will receive either a certificate or an AAS degree depending upon which program you select.
At Cowley College, you'll learn the language and terms used in the Medical Coding field. You'll also be taught how to use word processors, spreadsheets, and databases. Also, you can complete this program fully online. Plus, if you live in Kansas, you can get help with tuition through the Kansas Promise Act scholarship!
