Course Placement Testing

Tests and Fees

You must apply before testing to receive a Cowley ID.

Students who are unable to test in-person will be charged $28 for a virtual testing voucher.

Students will be charged a $25 fee to send scores to another institution.

Accuplacer Placement Test:

Cowley College uses the Accuplacer test for placement testing. There are three sections: math, reading and writing. The test is not timed (average time per test is 45 minutes). Practice tests, sample questions and test-taking tips can be found on the Accuplacer Website.

Fees:

The first test session is free for Cowley College students. Each retest is $5 per test section. Each section of the Accuplacer test may be taken three times in one rolling year.

Accuplacer Companion Test:

The Accuplacer Companion Test is a paper/pencil version of Accuplacer. In order to take this test, student must have a copy of documented disability. Please contact our Accessibility Coordinator at 620-441-5557 or disabilityservices@cowley.edu to schedule your test.
