Cowley College Gaming Club
About Us
We aim to foster an inclusive and engaging environment where students can:
- Compete in esports through our growing teams in games like Chess, StarCraft 2, and more!
- Participate in mini-tournaments and fun gaming nights with titles ranging from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to Rocket League.
- Build friendships and socialize with fellow gamers both on and off-screen.
- Join our Discord community, where you'll find members discussing game strategies, organizing events, and just hanging out.
MeetingS & Events
Our club meets regularly on Fridays at 6:30 PM for in-person and online gaming sessions. We get together, play games as a group, have small competitions and snacks, while we hang out and goof off or practice for upcoming tournaments.
We meet in Galle-Johnson, Room 301 on Friday nights and we have virtual meetings through Discord on Tuesday nights.
Whether you're looking to sharpen your skills, learn a new game, or just have fun, we're here to create a welcoming space for everyone. We also offer leadership opportunities and the chance to compete in the NJCAAE against other colleges.
Currently, we have Chess on Monday nights and Starcraft 2 on Thursday nights.

Games We Play
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (SSBU)
Take on your opponents in the ultimate showdown! We host weekly SSBU meetups, and there's always room for more skilled fighters.
Overwatch
Join our team-based, first-person shooter matches in Overwatch! Cowley needs more heroes—are you up for the challenge?
Valorant
Step into Valorant’s intense tactical shooter experience. Whether you're a sharpshooter or a strategy expert, there’s a place for you here.
Rocket League
Cars, soccer, and pure adrenaline! Rocket League is fast-paced fun, and we’re always looking for more players to kick it with us.
Tekken
Bring your martial arts skills to the fight in Tekken. Master the combos, take down opponents, and become a champion in our tournaments.
Chess
For strategic masterminds, we offer regular chess competitions and are proud to compete in NJCAAE events.
StarCraft 2
If you're into real-time strategy, StarCraft 2 is where you can put your skills to the test. Our competitive team is recruiting!

Are you ready to compete at the collegiate level? At Cowley College, our Esports Teams are always looking for passionate and talented players to join the ranks. As a proud member of the NJCAAE, we currently compete in Chess and StarCraft 2, but we’re expanding our roster to include Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (SSBU), Overwatch, Valorant, Rocket League, and Tekken. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or just starting out, we welcome gamers of all skill levels to try out and be part of a dynamic, growing team. Compete, improve your skills, and represent Cowley College in intercollegiate competitions!
