Honkomp named the recipient of Tiger Heart Award

Carissa Honkomp, Cowley College applications processor, was recently named the recipient of the fall 2023 Tiger Heart Award. 

The award is presented each semester to an employee that has gone above and beyond to help a fellow employee, therefore exhibiting the heart of a tiger.

“What an honor to have someone recognize your work,” Honkomp said. “It was quite a surprise and very appreciated. I could not do what I do without Bryan (McChesney); he is always willing to listen and work with me. Working with Bryan, Rick (Waldorf), my admissions co-workers, and everyone at Cowley makes my job enjoyable and easy. I have a great boss, Stefani Jones, who has allowed me to delve into so many other things in my position and spread my wings. Thank you for the honor of the Tiger Heart Award and for allowing me to work on a great campus full of great people.”

Past award recipients include Bryan McChesney, Micah Fry, Rikki Hettenbach, Robin Graves, Liz Shepherd, Somsy Sengvixay, Ashley Leighty, and Rhoda MacLaughlin.
