Deborah Layton receives PTK Advisor Award

Recognized for her dedication to Phi Theta Kappa, Cowley College PTK co-sponsor/Humanities and communications instructor Deborah Layton was recently awarded a PTK Advisor Award for 10 years of service to the organization.

Proud to be honored by her peers, the moment was bittersweet as Layton only recently stepped down from advising to pursue other interests.

“The hardest part is knowing that there are so many wonderful, talented students returning for involvement this year, but I suppose that will always be the case with this particular organization,” Layton said. “These students are such awesome people who work hard and achieve so much; I will miss collaborating with them outside of the classroom.”
