Humanities & Communications Day 2024

humanities and communications day

On November 7, 2024, Cowley College hosted Humanities and Communications Day on our main campus, bringing together approximately 40 students from Winfield, Dexter, Goddard, and surrounding areas. From 9AM to 2PM, participants explored the diverse opportunities within humanities and communications fields, engaging in interactive workshops, and showcasing their talents in a series of creative contests.

Students began by going on a guided campus tour, which gave them a firsthand look at our facilities and an opportunity to learn more about admissions, financial aid, and the programs available to prospective students. Following the tour, participants joined small group workshops focused on Creative Writing and Mass Communications. These hands-on sessions provided valuable insights into the creative process and helped students develop writing and media production skills.

The event's highlight was the presentation of awards for the Creative Writing and Mass Communications contests, where students submitted portfolios of their written and digital works. The awards ceremony recognized outstanding achievements across several categories, celebrating the students involved and their diverse talents.
