Cowley Theater to Hold Production of James and the Giant Peach

Get ready for a whimsical adventure! Cowley College is thrilled to present Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach on November 22, 2024, at 7:30 PM. This delightful musical, featuring a charming score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, brings to life the beloved story of a young boy's fantastical journey with his oversized insect friends.

When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that creates a giant peach. As he climbs inside, he meets a host of quirky insect companions, and they embark on an extraordinary voyage filled with challenges and adventures. From battling hunger and sharks to landing atop the Empire State Building, this heartwarming tale emphasizes friendship, creativity, and the importance of family.

Cast highlights include Hadley O’Toole (Queen Alalah 92) as James, Zander Dobbs as Ladahlord, Cody Palmer as Spiker, Angelia Becker as Sponge, Mia Anderson as Spider, Adam Monroe as Grasshopper, Karlie Walters as Ladybug, Jess Bowling as Centipede, and Sarah Sutherland as Earthworm. Under the direction of Nick Albrecht and musical direction by Lindsay Allen, this production features an exceptional creative team dedicated to bringing Dahl's enchanting world to life through stunning visuals, engaging choreography, and memorable music.
