Cowley takes four teams to compete at Snow Bowl

Competing at the Kansas Collegiate Quiz Bowl Snow Bowl Saturday in Garden City, KS, Cowley College had four of the 16 teams entered in the tournament and was led by the Cowley “A” team placing fifth.

With three individuals placing in the top 20, the Cowley “A” team went 6-2-1 in head-to-head competition. The Murray State “A” team placed first with a record of 9-0, while the Murray State “B” team finished second with a record of 8-1. 

Kanyon Beck of the Murray State “A” team was the top individual finisher out of 62 competitors. 

The Cowley “A” team was led by Jacob “Hamrick, who placed 14th, while Spencer MacLaughlin (18th) and Elias Robson (20th) placed in the top 20. Peyton Williams (48th) rounded out members of the “A” team.

Laurence Aggson of the Cowley “B” team was Cowley’s top finisher as he placed 10th. The Cowley “C” team was led by Ian Aggson placing 19th, and Demetrios Catlett led the Cowley “D” team by finishing 34th.
