Mass Communications Scholarship
Maintain 2.5 or higher GPA at Cowley College. Majors and non-majors must enroll in a minimum of 12 hours per semester. Must enroll in the 2 credit News Media Practicum for 4 consecutive semesters. Required courses for the scholarship are dependent on the recipients's intended pathway and include: Mass Media & Society, Intro to Public Relations, Audio Video Production, Media Ethics, Digital Photography and Writing for the Media online. All recipients must actively participate in Cowley College Media Group) CCMG and attend Media Club meetings, activities, fundraisers, conferences and training. All Scholarship recipients must attend Media Boot-Camp in the Fall (prior to the start of classes), the staff retreat in the Spring (the end of May, first part of June), and serve on the advisory committee for the Humanities and Communications Department. Declared majors MUST complete a minimum of a one credit hour internship prior or graduation.
