College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)
CLEP program
The CLEP program is for those who want to test out of a course in which they already have academic knowledge comparable to that gained in the classroom. Students must complete 12 credit hours at Cowley College with a GPA of 2.00 or higher before CLEP credit is listed on the transcript. To request a copy of the scores report, write to the College Board, PO Box 6600, Princeton, New Jersey 08541-6600 or call 1-800-257-9558 or go to the College Board's website. A maximum of 15 credit hours can be awarded for CLEP examinations. Credits by exam listed on transcripts from other colleges are not automatically awarded credit. Scores must be officially sent to Cowley College from College Board. See below for equivalencies.
Fees
$93 per exam paid in advance to College Board.
$28 per exam paid to Cowley College. Acceptable forms of payment: debit/credit card, check, cash. Payment due day of exam, prior to testing.

CLEP Exams offered at Cowley
The following is a list of CLEP exams accepted by Cowley College. Please check with your advisor before taking a CLEP exam. If you are attending another college or university, please refer to them about the CLEP exam and the scores they accept.
Scores will be viewable immediately upon completion of your test, except for the College Composition, due to the essay portion needing to be scored and calculated.
