Golden Tiger enrollment days recently held in Ark City and Wellington
Despite some cold and dreary weather, the Golden Tigers organization at Cowley College had another successful enrollment week. Close to 150 individuals stopped by to enroll in classes.
According to Micah Fry, Community Education Coordinator/Golden Tigers Coordinator, she has had a busy few days since the events enrolling individuals in open enrollment in her office.
While some classes have filled to maximum capacity, the Golden Tigers program is still enrolling and has open spots in plenty of classes. For health and wellness, Aqua Fun, Line Dancing, and Stay Strong, Stay Healthy have opening spots. Many of the tech and education classes are still enrolling as well.
Even though it is still winter, Fry is already looking forward to getting outside with “Garden to Glass” a class at Gottlob Lawn and Landscape in April. The evening class will have an introduction to growing herbs and creating delicious beverages with those herbs. All of the drinks are nonalcoholic. The class still has open seats.
This semester, the Golden Tigers added a fourth day trip and asked individuals to sign up for only two trips apiece to help ensure that more Golden Tigers could join in on the day trips. There are still a few open seats on two different trips, including Trip 2: Underground Bound, which will take the group to Hutchinson to see the salt mine and an earthworm farm.
“I am looking forward to another great semester with the Golden Tigers,” Fry said.
