Gold Standard Military Friendly School
Cowley College has worked hard to be the only Kansas community college ranked as a Gold Standard Military Friendly School. We have a dedicated staff member available to help military students, veterans, and families enroll and succeed.

Steps to Enroll:
- Complete the Cowley College online application.
- Determine testing needs by meeting with the Military Education Services Representative.
- Request Official transcripts from your high school, GED, and/ or previous colleges that you have attended.
- Enroll in classes at Cowley College.
TA Process:
- Go to the Air Force Portal
- Select degree path: CCAF completion or degree seeking.
- Complete the TA application.
- Once approved, send a copy to the Military Education Services Representative.
- Request your Community College of the Air Force transcript.

Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) Transcript Process:
If you are a civilian, officer, or other service member requesting a transcript for the first time, your request may take up to 30 days to process. Once processing is complete a transcript will be mailed out to the address specified in the request.
Diploma reprints will be handled within 48-72 hours of receipt. Please allow up to two weeks for arrival. If it has not arrived within two to three weeks of the request, you may call us at the below number to inquire about its status.
Transcript requests sent to this inbox cannot be processed due to FERPA requirements.
There are currently three methods to request a transcript from us:
- Use the Automated Online Transcript Request form.
- Mail a letter to CCAF requesting a transcript and include the following information:
full name, social security number, date of birth, and the address you wish your transcript
to be sent to. Ensure the letter is physically signed by the requesting member to
release their record. The address is:

- Parchment does overnight and regular delivery for a fee.
As a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity College (SOC), Cowley College is dedicated to helping service members and their families earn their degrees. SOCAD is a system of college curriculum networks that allows colleges and universities to work together to accept each other’s courses in a particular program of study.

- Determine testing needs by contacting the Military Education Services Representative at Cowley College.
- Request official transcripts from high schools, from GED, and/ or previous colleges you attended.
- Enroll in classes at Cowley College.
Get Tuition Assistance from the Coast Guard:

- Select your career/degree path from the Cowley College Academic Catalog.
- Complete the TA application for tuition assistance.
- Once approved, send a copy to our Military Education Services Representative.

Additional Information for Marines applying for Tuition Assistance:
- Complete a College 101 brief (10-15 minute online PowerPoint presentation).
- Submit a tuition assistance statement of understanding.
- Submit a current up-to-date Tuition Assistance application with statement of fees from school.
- Reservists must submit a copy of activation or mobilization orders.
- Must have a minimum GT score of 100 or a minimum TABE score of 10.2.
- Must complete Marine Corps Institute (MCI) personal finance management (course ID 3420G).
Select your degree path, complete the TA application, and once approved, send a copy to the Military Education Services Representative at Cowley College.

To apply or learn about your benefits please contact your State’s Education Service Officer. (NG/Reservist will need to visit the ESO of each state for TA Benefits).
