Faculty and Staff
Services for Faculty & Staff
Confidential individual counseling is available at no cost to Cowley College faculty and staff when services are appropriate. Appointments are offered virtually or in person at the Arkansas City campus.
Because maintaining ethical boundaries is essential, counseling may not be appropriate in situations where a personal relationship or other conflict of interest exists between the employee and the counselor. Counseling Services uses a brief therapy model designed to provide short-term support and help individuals connect with additional resources when needed.
Faculty and staff at all Cowley College campuses and locations, including online employees, have access to consultation and referral services.
Referrals are available for employees seeking specialized care, long-term counseling, psychiatric services, or medication management. Whenever possible, referrals are made to providers in the employee's preferred community.
Consultation is also available to support campus-related concerns, including student behavior, classroom challenges, team dynamics, crisis response, and strategies that promote a healthy campus environment.
The Counseling Office offers educational workshops and presentations that promote mental health, well-being, and personal growth across the Cowley College community.
Faculty, staff, departments, classes, student organizations, and campus groups at the Arkansas City, Mulvane, and Wellington campuses are welcome to request a presentation on a topic that meets their needs.
To request a workshop or presentation, please complete the Presentation and Programming Request Form at least four weeks before your preferred date. We will make every effort to accommodate requests based on staff availability and expertise.
