The Cowley College Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Dr. Michelle Schoon as the Cowley College President during Monday’s meeting held at noon in the Patrick J. McAtee Dining Center. The Board agreed to employ Dr. Schoon as Cowley College President for a period commencing March 1st, 2023, and ending August, 1st, 2024.
Performing a new musical straight from Broadway, the Cowley College Visual and Performing Arts Department entertained audiences with its spring musical Disaster Friday through Sunday inside the Robert Brown Theatre.
Cowley College took a group of writers for a busy and inspirational writing trip to Tulsa on Friday, February 23. The group met up with previous Cowley writer Quinn Johnson at the Bob Dylan Center and Woodie Guthrie Center in downtown Tulsa. Johnson now works at the Centers and provided tours for the writers at each.
Coming to Cowley College from Germany, Janet Wismach has made herself right at home in Arkansas City as the sophomore Criminal Justice major was recently named the school’s February Student of the Month.
Capping a week full of Homecoming activities, Felipe Mentz and Shamahra Henderson were named Cowley College’s Homecoming king and queen during halftime of the Tiger men’s basketball game vs. Independence Community College on Wednesday night at W.S. Scott Auditorium.
The Golden Tigers program recently hosted on-campus enrollment events at its main campus in Arkansas City and its Sumner Campus location in Wellington.
Cowley College sophomore Takeshi Taco, five-time national champion and two-time All-American, was recognized for his stellar work by being named the Cowley College January 2023 Student of the Month.
