PREVENTION. EVALUATION. REHABILITATION.

Interested in working in athletics as a health care professional? Athletic Training might be the career for you! An athletic trainer is responsible for managing injuries and conditions caused by physical activity. Management includes injury prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation, and maintenance of health.

To become a Certified Athletic Trainer, you must earn a bachelor's degree from a college or university that offers an accredited athletic training program. The Associate of Science degree in Athletic Training at Cowley College offers the same courses you would normally take in the first two years at a four-year university.

During your degree program, you may have the opportunity to work as a student athletic trainer with the intercollegiate sports teams at Cowley College. With this hands-on experience, you can learn the profession in a practical setting!
