Athletic Training

Training opportunities available while getting your degree
To become a Certified Athletic Trainer you must earn a bachelor's degree from a college
or university with an accredited program in athletic training. Cowley’s two-year Associate
of Science degree is designed to offer the classes you would normally take in the
first two years at a four-year institution.
PREVENTION. EVALUATION. REHABILITATION.
If you are a person in search of a profession that gives you the opportunity to work in athletics as a health care professional, then Athletic Training might be the career for you! The duty of an Athletic Trainer is the management of injuries and conditions that occur during, or as the result of, physical activity. This management includes injury prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation, and health care maintenance.
While earning your degree you may be chosen to work as an athletic training student for one of our four intercollegiate athletic teams. This gives you the opportunity to learn the profession with valuable hands-on experience!
