Are you interested in a career in machining and manufacturing technology? The Machining and Manufacturing Technology program at Cowley College is an excellent choice. Our program gives you the knowledge and skills you need to successfully work in the manufacturing industry. You'll learn to operate and troubleshoot a variety of machine tools, and gain the skills necessary to produce quality parts in a safe and efficient manner. The curriculum covers topics such as blueprint reading, metallurgy, computer-aided design and manufacturing, and machining processes. You'll also gain experience with the latest machining tools and software used in the industry.

Many of our machines are computer-controlled; students have the opportunity to learn computer numerical controlled programming of these machines for complex and sophisticated machining processes. Students will also learn quality control methods using the latest measuring and inspection instrumentation.

In addition to the classroom experience, the program also offers hands-on training in the college's machine tool laboratory. Here you'll gain valuable experience working with the machines, and have the opportunity to practice the skills you've learned. Our graduates have gone on to successful careers in the manufacturing industry. With a degree or certificate from our Machining & Manufacturing Technology program, you'll be prepared to enter the workforce and make an impact in the industry.
